Gilbert Martin "Marty" Hixson, 50, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Sarah Brock Hixson; sisters, Ruth Wright, Irene Couch; and brothers, Lonzo Hixson and Lawrence Brock.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Hixson; sons, Wayne Millsaps, Jim Millsaps; daughter, Marla Williams; brothers, Clifford Hixson, Raymond Hixson, Tommy Hixson, Eddie Hixson, David Hixson; sister, Dorothy Moore; and five grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, in the chapel of Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Hunsucker officiating. Interment will follow in Ware Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. Saturday.
Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
Charlotte Ann Hixson, 55, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Hixson; mother, Jimmie C. Parker and siblings, Ricky P. Parker and Mary Parker Payne.
Survivors include her sons, Larry (Jana) Wayne Millsaps and James Isaac Millsaps all of Soddy-Daisy; daughter, Marla (Troy) Williams of Whitwell; brother, James Gross of Soddy-Daisy; sisters, Susan Payne and Reba Parker both of Soddy-Daisy and Vickie “Sissie” Hixson of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Amber Williams “Gabe” Hammontree, Kaleb Williams, Casey Millsaps, Shanna Millsaps, Lacey Millsaps, Thomas Burton, Samantha Burton and Micah Spivey; great grandchildren, Garrett Hammontree and Caiden Millsaps.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carl Hunsucker and Rev. Melvin Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Ware Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
