DUNLAP - Charles E. Hixson, 76, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, at his home.
He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Shriner and former U.S. Marine.
He was preceded in death by his father, J. Boyd Hixson; and mother, Edith Pendergrass Hixson.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Hixson; daughter, Donna Hutchenson, Tampa, Fla.; son, Jeffrey Hixson, Dunlap, Charles Hixson, Glendale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Hixson, Dunlap; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be today at noon CDT at Foster Hixson Cemetery, Hixson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice; American Lung Association; Heart Association; Shrine Burn Hospital or Animal Rescue.
