Wilma Dean Hixson, 62, of Chattanooga, Tenn. passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010.
She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga. As a young woman she began her career at BCBST where she remained after 34 years of service until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Louise Hixson; brothers, Alvin Hixson, Billy Hixson and Harlen Hixson.
Survivors include her only daughter, Kim (Jeremy) Riemer; and three grandchildren; Chase, William and Emi Riemer; sister, Carolyn (Herbert) Brown; brothers, Marvin (Joyce) Hixson, Charles Hixson, Ralph (Nancy) Hixson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the North Chapel with the Rev. Joe Davis officiating.
Interment will follow at Foster-Hixson Cemetery in Hixson.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today, April 6, 2010 and on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service at the North Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to MaryEllen Locher Breast Center.
Arrangements are made by Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN.
