OBITUARY:
DAVIS - JOHN R., 96, of 9979 Lovell Road, Daisy, Tenn., died Thursday morning in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a member and deacon of New Salem Baptist Church, and retired from Miflin Hood Co.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Geneva) Patterson, Mrs. Raymond (Mildred) Smith, Mrs. Clifford (Catherine) Shadwick, Mrs. Gene (Joyce) Smith, Mrs. Marvin (Elsie) Hall and Miss Almeda Davis, all of Daisy; two sons, Paul Davis, Daisy and Mancel Davis, Arlington, TX.; 17 grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2pm Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with the Revs. Bob Dominy and Rev. Paul Coffelt officiating. Burial will be in Dodd Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9pm today at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, Soddy Daisy.

Mrs. Flora B. Wilson Davis, 83, of Lovell Road, Daisy, Tenn., died at the residence Tuesday morning.
She was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 2pm Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home by the Revs. Orville Thomas and David Jicka.
Interment will be in Dodd Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, John R. Davis, Daisy; six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Geneva) Patterson, Mrs. Marvin (Elsie) K. Hall, Mrs. Mildred Smith, Mrs. Gene (Joyce) Smith, Mrs. Clifford (Catherine) Shadwick and Miss Almeda Davis, all of Daisy; two sons, Mancel Davis, Paul R. Davis, both of Daisy; one sister, Mrs. Grace Culvahouse, Graysville; one brother, Roy Wilson, Falling Water, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Hall, Danny Hall, Gary Smith, Jimmy Davis, Mike Davis, Kevin Shadwick.
Arrangements by the Williamson and Sons Funeral Home.
