James S. Davis, 61, of Soddy-Daisy died Friday, March 23, 2001, at his home.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Rae Davis; and a sister, Estelene Newsome.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Davis; two sons, Robert Davis and Ricky Davis, both of Soddy-Daisy; three brothers, Johnny Davis and Larry Davis, both of Soddy-Daisy, Frank Davis of Sparta, Tenn.; five sisters, Freida Stevens, Hixson, Barbara Kirby, Soddy-Daisy, Edith Palmer, Sparta, Tenn., Zula Mae Grayson, Ellisville, Miss., Katherine White, Fort Payne, Ala.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Kelley officiating.

Interment will be in Smith Cemetery.

Visitation is after 10 a.m. today.
