Obit:
Vernon Thomas Davis, 67, of Soddy-Daisy, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 in a local hospital. Mr. Davis was a life long resident of Soddy and was a son of the late Wilvon & Maggie Davis, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Davis. Mr. Davis was a Security Guard for over 15 years and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his former wife, Peggy Sue Frizzell, three sons, Danar Davis, Billy Davis and Melvin Davis, five daughters, Sherry Davis, Debbie Davis, Christie Davis, Kimberly davis and Kayla Davis, sister, Freida (Luke) "Dolly" Powell, 24 ½ grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Vernon Sneed officiating. Interment will be in Smith Cemetery, Soddy-Daisy.
