Russell Johnson, 94, passed away on May 7, 2021. He was a member of Falling Water Baptist. He was a WWII veteran of the US Navy. Russell was a 60+ year member of Daisy Lodge F&A 706. He was retired from Dupont after 34 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Johnson and a granddaughter, Cressa Atwood.
He is survived by his children, Linda (Julian) Atwood, Garland (Dana) Johnson, Gary (Colleen) Johnson and Michael (Maria) Johnson; sister, Gladys Frizzell; brother, Carl (Bess) Johnson; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; as well as a special friend, Jewel Lovelady.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the funeral home and after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Taylor presiding. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery. His grandsons will be pallbearers.

Evelyn Johnson, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at her home.
She was a member of Falling Water Baptist Church, and taught the Junior Girls Sunday School Class for over 26 years. She also served as a past Worthy Matron at the Daisy chapter of Eastern Star #328.
Her parents, Arlie and Sarah Higgins, one sister, Opal Brackett, and a granddaughter, Cressa Atwood, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Russell "W.R." Johnson; children and their spouses, Linda and Julian Atwood, Garland and Dana Johnson, Gary and Colleen Johnson, Glenn Michael and Maria Johnson; three sisters, Eloise Ledford, Arquilla Higgins, Arbutus Smith; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at noon on Friday, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Love, the Rev. Warren Beavers and Dr. Sam Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery.
Visitation is from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
