Opal Grant Johnson, 90, of Soddy-Daisy Mountain, died on Friday, Jan. 20, 2007. She was a member of First Friends Church, Knoxville.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, George and Gailie Grant; two brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gus "Eddie" (Martha Lee) Johnson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas (Emma Lou) Grant and Randall (Elaine) Grant; three sisters, Myrtle Hixson, Doris (Dub) London and Bettye Sue Davis; two grandchildren, Daniel (Ana) Johnson and Debby (Arlis) Johnson; one great-grandson, Marcus Thompson Johnson; three stepgreat-granddaughters; one great-granddaughter-to-be, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Varner Cemetery on Daisy Mountain.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from noon until the hour of services at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the Highway 58 Chapel, 894-2012.
