Raymond Eugene Johnson, 59, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, in the VA Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tn.

He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He had previously worked for DuPont Corporation and served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Allene Johnson.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Johnson, of Louisiana; sisters, Sylvia Powell and Wilma Young, both of Ooltewah; brother, Spencer Johnson, of Apison; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Varnell Family Cemetery with Dr. Spencer Johnson officiating.

His first cousins will serve as pallbearers.
