Freda Obit:
Freda Mae "Carden" Penney, 75, of Chattanooga, died in a local hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003.
Ms. Penney was involved with Re-Act of Hamilton Count. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Lee Penney.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Barnes of Ringgold, Donna Waters of Atlanta; son, William R. King Jr. of Soddy-Daisy; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday graveside at East Soddy Daisy Church of God Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday after 4 p.m.
Arrangements are by Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Ft. Oglethorpe.

James Obit:
James Noral (Jim) Penney, 74, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, passed away Tuesday afternoon at a  local hospital.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Hazel Conner, sister, Betty Hankins, brother, William A. Penney, stepson, Billy King, stepdaughter, Janie Meador, nieces, Yvonne Hankins, Linda Lasley, Shirley Jenkins, Wanda Wilson, Juanita Keltch, Sue Bowman, and Charlotte Wall, great niece Tesheka Hankins, nephews, Jerry Hankins, Butch Penney, Doyle Penney, and Harry Phillips, several other great nieces and nephews, loving pets including dog Tish and mule Nellie. 

The funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 22, 2007, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Smith of the North Hixson Church of God officiating. Interment will follow in East Soddy Community Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jackie Wilson, Steve Arnold, Ray Meador, and Bill Bowman.  Visitation is 4:00 to 9:00 Friday, September 21, 2007.
