Raymond Flavis Smith of Soddy-Daisy died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at his home.

He was 57. Mr. Smith was a heavy machinery operator for many years and was the son of the late Flavis Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Smith; a son, Tony Smith, Red Bank; a daughter, Shelia Ramsey, Cleveland; his mother, Edith Smith, Soddy-Daisy; three sisters, Barbara Laymon and Patricia Brown, both of Soddy-Daisy, and Charlotte Clark, North Carolina; three brothers, Bill Smith, Hixson, Ronnie Smith, Soddy-Daisy, and Kenny Smith, Sale Creek; five grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle Thrasher officiating.

Burial will be in Dividing Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today after 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
