Linda Gail Smith, 56, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010, in a local hospital.

She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and attended New City Fellowship Presbyterian Church. She loved to bake and plan weddings.

She was preceded in death by her son, Travis Dent, and parents, John and Vernell Roberts.

She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Chester Smith; brother, Tracy (Dorothy) Roberts; sister, Paulette (Jerry) Posey; granddaughter, Abbi Dent; grandson, Christopher Mohr; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow the service at Smith Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
