Charles Richard Grant, 75, of Lenoir City, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011.

He served in the ministry for many years of his life as pastor of several Baptist churches in Tennessee and Georgia.

He was the son of the late Judd and Hazel Grant.

Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Stiefel, of Soddy-Daisy, Lisa (Joe) Totherow, of Hixson, Becky (Sam) Benefield and Kristie (Kevin) Cavanah, of Sale Creek; longtime companion and caretaker, Jane Byrd, of Lenoir City, and her daughters, Sherry (Terry) Cole, Christine (James) Hancock, and Bobbie (Kevin) Hewitt, all of Lenoir City; his siblings, Margaret (Ronnie) Way, of Evensville, Tenn., James (Pat) Grant, of Philadelphia, Wanda (Roy) Kelly, of Dayton, Tenn., Doug (Janet) Grant, of Grandview, Tenn., and Pam (Jim) Montgomery, of Dayton; along with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be in Lake Drive Baptist Church in Sale Creek from 1-3 p.m. Thursday.

The Rev. David Haynes and the Rev. Grant Carter will conduct the service at 3 p.m. in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Richard Grant Memorial fund at Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union in care of Sharon Stiefel.
