Frances L. Petty, 79, of Hixson died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Petty was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Petty, was retired from C.D. Genter Manufacturing Co. and was a Baptist.
She is survived by daughters, Joyce Dixon and Mildred Cox; and a son, David Shelby, all of Chattanooga; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one-great-great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Schneitman Cemetery in Hixson with Pastor Lawrence Bradford officiating.
Arrangements are announced by Williamson and Sons Funeral Home.
