Mildred's Obit:
Mildred Louise Duggan Varner, of Soddy-Daisy, TN was born on June 26, 1921 and went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the age of 87.
Her husband of fifty-three years, Tommie C. Varner; youngest child, Beverly Herman; parents, Clarence & Della Duggan; sisters, Naomi Varnes, Evelyn Rose, Dixie Donaldson; brothers, Burle Duggan and Ross Duggan, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth, Malcom & Norman Varner; daughters, Carol Hamrick, Linda Ricketts, Laurel Herman; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; sisters, Inez Smith, Clarice Smith, Barbara Laymon; brother, Glenn Duggan and several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2008, at the Jubilee Baptist Church (formerly East Soddy Church of God) with Rev. Don Sapp, Bishop Rick Smith & Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating. Interment will follow beside the Church in East Soddy Community Cemetery. Visitation is 3:00 TO 8:00 Friday.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kevin Varner, Philip Varner, Gary Alexander, Sammy Hamrick, Ashley Hamrick and Brent Hamrick. Honorary pallbearers will be, Randy Ricketts, Marvin Varner, James Burchard, Rob Hall, Robert Luttrell & Bubba Pickle.
