Ruby L. Nelson, 94, of Soddy-Daisy went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, in a local hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy M. Nelson; daughter, Marie Petty; and grandson, Terry May.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of the Church of God for over 50 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy May and Sharon Hobbs, both of Soddy-Daisy; four brothers, J.H. Roddy, Douglas Roddy, Albert Roddy, all of Soddy-Daisy, and Moris Roddy of Hixson; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today from Williamson and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Marshal Roberson officiating.
Burial is to follow in the Dividing Ridge Cemetery.
Family will receive friends today from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Williamson and Sons Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
