Arnold "Dee" Nelson, 74, of Falling Water died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at a local hospital.
Mr. Nelson retired from U.S. Pipe and was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Nelson; mother, Martha Nelson; father, Mack Nelson; brother, Ralph Nelson; and sisters, Hazel Mahan and Irma Leming.
Survivors include his wife, Katheryn Nelson; daughters, Charlotte Morgan and Delia Jenkins, both of Soddy-Daisy; Carolyn Sneed, Hixson; son, Roger L. Nelson; brother, Roland Nelson, both of Falling Water; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. William Smith and Rev. Jim Smith officiating.
Interment will be in Smith Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. today.

Katheryn Louise Nelson, 80, of Falling Water, passed away Monday, April 7, 2003, at a local hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold "Dee" Nelson; son, Eddie Nelson; sisters, Jeanette Hardin, Maglene Maynard, Vivia Weatherspoon and Louise Phillips; and brother, Adolph "Sonny" Carden.
She is survived by her son, Roger Nelson of Middle Valley; daughters, Charlotte Morgan, Delia Jenkins and Carolyn Bohlman, all of Soddy-Daisy; brother, Paul Carden of Soddy-Daisy; sisters, Onedia Kriens of Chatsworth, Ga., Dorothy Chase of Los Angeles; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Webb officiating.
Interment will follow in Smith Cemetery.
Family will receive friends after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
