Alvin "Sonny" Millwood, Jr., 76, of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at his residence.
He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was retired from Olan Mills after 38 years. He loved hunting, fishing and 55 Chevy's.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delaney and Goldie Slaven Millwood; brother, Gwin Millwood.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Inez Pickett Millwood; son, Richard (Tundalayia) Millwood; daughter, Karen Millwood Knight; brother, Marvin (Sherry) Millwood; sister, Debbie Roberts; grandchildren, Dawon , Dylan, Cayla and Bradley along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 17, from 4-8 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday with funeral to follow at 1 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sawyer Cemetery.
Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
