Obits:
George Monroe Maye, 76, of Sale Creek died Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at a local hospital.
Mr. Maye was a truck driver and was of the Church of God faith.
Survivors include his wife, Virgie Hazel Maye; daughter, Hazel Georgena Rigsby, Dayton; sons, Robert Allen, Kristopher and Alfred Glenn May, all of Sale Creek; a sister, Helen Holbert, Red Bank; one grandchild; and five nieces.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tommy Levi officiating.
Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery.
Virgie Hazel Maye, age 79, of Pikeville, TN, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015. She was a member of a nondenominational church. Virgie is preceded in death by her husband, George M. Maye. Survivors include her children, Jeannie (Wesley) Rigsby, Pikeville, Glenn (Kimberly) Maye, Pikeville, Chris Maye, Sale Creek, Robert Maye, Sale Creek; grandson, Nicholas (Jessica) Maye; three great-grandchildren; mother, Viola Smith; sisters, Lola Shipley and Ruby Morgan; brothers, Ray Bishop, Noah Lee Bishop, and Eddie Bishop; several nieces and nephews. The family will have a private service at a later date. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
