Forever in our hearts
Mary Lou Tankersley May, 76, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy and of the Baptist faith. Mary retired from the Hamilton County School System after 15 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sim and Ann Tankersley; husband, Earl May; daughter, Kimberly May; twin sister, Myrna Hamby and sisters, Janice Cerino and Helen Johnson. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her son, Larry A. Woodall, Sr. (Beverly); daughters, Sharon Snyder (Terry), Lisa McFarland and Kristy Cumbee (Kerry); sister, Betty Carlisle; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Herbert Chauncey officiating. Burial will follow at Patterson Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
