Bobby Don Clingan, 35, of Spring City, died Monday, May 2, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Clingan had lived in Rhea County for 20 years. He was of the Baptist faith. He had been employed for 12 years with T.D.O.T. Mr. Clingan loved the Dukes of Hazard and enjoyed his son and wife. Bobby will be sadly missed. He was a son a mother would be proud of.
Mr. Clingan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry J. and Marva Watkins Clingan.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Clingan of Spring City, his mother, Darlene and Mike Abels of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; son, Henry Samuel Clingan, 11, of Spring City; step grandfather, Robert Watkins of Dayton; grandmother, Mattie E. Clingan of Spring City; two brothers, Brad Kilgore of Dayton and Danny Kilgore of Georgia; two aunts and uncles, Linda and Don Holmes of Dayton and Marla and Von Clingan of Ringgold, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be at Shelton Cemetery in Sale Creek, Tenn.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 4, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
