Obit:
Johnny Bruce Green, 60 of Hixson passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 in an area hospital. He was employed with Hamilton County Highway Department for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrel Green and Violet Heard; step-father, Earl Heard; grandparents, John and Marguerite Woodward; brother, Dwight Heard and sisters, Pat Berry and Laura Mae Green; aunt, Virginia Woodward and uncle, J.D. Woodward.

He is survived by his wife, Verinda Green of Soddy-Daisy; sons, Timmy Green of Soddy-Daisy and Paul Prigmore of Harrison; daughter, Shanna Green of Ooltewah; brothers, Jerry Green of Hixson and Gary Heard of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, David, Jade, Jodi and Logan; uncle Rev. Gene Woodward of Soddy-Daisy, uncle and aunt R.V. "Cotton” and Jewel Woodward of Hixson, and aunt, Sarah Wood of Flintstone, GA.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, September 8, 2007 in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Sonny Wilkes officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8911 Dallas Hollow Road, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
