Calvin's Obit:
Calvin Avery Allender, 73, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Thursday, March 1, 2007 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Allender, parents; William Avery and Belle Allender.
He is survived by his sons; Stanley Allender who has lovingly and diligently taken care of his father, Avery (Lori) Allender of Nashville, Stepmother; Lora Allender, brothers; Richard, Charlie, and Gary Allender all of Soddy-Daisy, sister; Mildred (Roy) Hale of Soddy-Daisy, Carrie (James) Millican of Brainerd, Matilda (Eugene) Clark of Prater, CA., several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2007 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Calvin Nunley officiating. Interment will follow in East Soddy Community Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4-9 Friday, March 2, 2007 and from 10:00 A.M. until time of service Saturday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home. Mildred Allender, 88, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at a local hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin Allender; sons, Stanley and Avery Allender; and sisters, Hazel Freeman and Betty Jones.
The graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Friday at East Soddy Church of God Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Nunley officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 p.m. Friday at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, phone (423) 332-1515.
