Mary Kathleen Penney Redden, 82, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at a local health care facility after a lingering illness.
She retired from JJ’s Drive Inn and attended Soddy Church of God.
Kathleen was also known as Mamaw, and her greatest love was her family and was proud of each one of them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Redden; and son, Darrell Redden.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Claudia (Henry) Sutton, of Soddy-Daisy; sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight (Janet), Doyle (Carrie), Dennis Redden, all of Soddy-Daisy, Dalford (Becky) Redden, of Spring City, Dwain (Faye) Redden, of Florida, and Patricia Redden, of Georgia; sister, Billie Jane Redden, of Florida; ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Soddy Church of God with the Rev. Daniel Dowden and Dwain Redden officiating. Interment will follow in Hot Water Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. Saturday and after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Soddy-Daisy Health Care Center, the special nurses, doctors and hospice for the care they gave her.
