Marshall Redden, 61, a longtime resident of Soddy-Daisy, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at his home.
Marshall was born in Isabella, Tenn., on Oct. 17, 1939, the son of Louis Allen and Lillian Marie (Lewis) Redden.
He lived in Soddy-Daisy most of his life.
Marshall was a retired ironworker and a fan of NASCAR racing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Redden, and his brothers, Harrison R. Redden and Don Lewis.
Marshall is survived by his wife, Della (Barnes) Redden, Soddy-Daisy; his mother, Lillian M. Redden of Isabella; his children, Penny Eustice, Randy Redden, Krista McDaniel, Bunny Massengill, Linda Haston, all of Soddy-Daisy; and brother, Charles Redden of Atlanta, Ga. Funeral services for Mr. Redden will be today at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Cunningham and Chaplain Aileen Summerlin officiating.
Burial will follow in Millsap Cemetery in Soddy-Daisy.
The family is being served by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton.
The family thanks Hospice for their care.
