Epitaph: 'Weep not for me my gentle wife, I'm done with all the grief of life, I softly die and sweetly sleep, Then dear companion do not weep'.
Note: The epitaph states that he was married when he died in 1861. The 1860 census shows him living with his parents implying he was single in 1860. We have no information on his wife.
