Frederick Allen Tester, a.k.a “Double Trouble and Papaw” went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 10, 2007. Mr. Tester was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. He was 65 years old at the time of his death. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Forbes Kansas from 1959-1961. He received his High School Diploma fro Sheppard AFB in Texas. He was a big outdoorsman that loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. He retired with over 30 years of Cross Country Trucking mostly with Combs Freight Lines of Bristol, VA

Survivors include: Loving Wife of 44 years – Eva Jane Shipley Tester
Sons – Mark Allen Tester of Bristol, TN and Joseph Edward Tester and wife Vanessa of Bristol, TN
Daughter – Angela Elizabeth Tester-Greer of Bristol, VA
Grandsons- Jeffery Edward Tester of Bristol, TN and Christopher Allen Tester of Bristol, VA
Granddaughters – Rachel LeAnna Tester of Johnson City, TN, McKensey Joe Tester of Brsitol, TN, Elizabeth Jane Tester of Bristol, VA
Brother – Gary “Skeeter” Tester and wife Beth of Stockbridge, GA
Sister – Shelia Irene Tester Collins and husband Mike of Stockbridge, GA
Brothers-in-law – Joe Oscar Shipley, Jr. and wife Joyce of Walkertown, NC, Kenneth James Shipley and wife Mary Ella of Supply, NC, Robert Lee Shipley and wife Robin of Kernersville, NC, Glen Allen Shipley and wife Renee of Winston Salem, NC, Sammy Wayne Shipley of Walkertown, NC, Todd Eric Shipley of Winston Salem, NC

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 8 pm in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Baker and Rev. Carl Young officiating. Committal service will be held on Thursday at 11 am at the Glenwood Mausoleum. Pallbearers include: Jeffery Tester, Chad DeFriece, Tommy Davidson, Kevin Davidson, Glen Shipley, Tony Sullins, Alvin Wilson, Danny Delaney. Military Honors will be presented by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-7:45 pm prior to the service.
