Ronnie Lee Tester, age 56, of Piney Flats passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Bristol Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Washington County, Tennessee to the late James Justice Tester and Nannie Vance Tester Carr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robie Tester and Eugene Tester. He was an employee of Baker Construction Company. Survivors include one sister, Connie Marie Stewart of Bristol, TN; three brothers, Roy Tester, Junior Tester and Calvin Tester all of Piney Flats; a special great niece, Kaylee Dunn; a special great nephew, Clayton Dunn; two special nieces, Crystal Hyatt and Caroline Hyatt; special friends, Frank Slaughter, Sr., Phillip Torbett and the Payne Family. Several other nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. The funeral service for Mr. Tester will be conducted at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Tetrick Funeral Home – Bluff City Chapel with Rev. Danny Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. prior to the service in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home and other times at the residences of his brothers or his sister. The graveside service and interment will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 9, 2010 in Sunrise Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brian Tester, Joe Tester, Calvin Tester, Jordy Hyatt, R.C. Hyatt, Junior Tester, Roy Tester and Bruce Dunn. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 9:30 A.M., Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
