Virginia Clark Leonard, age 91, of Bristol, TN went to be with the Lord on October 11, 2012 at the home of her son Jerry Leonard in Loudon, TN. She was born in Abingdon, VA on August 29, 1921 to the late Clifford Stonewall and Ollie May Lester Clark and lived most of her life in the Bristol area. Mrs. Leonard was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Primary age Sunday School for over 50 years and was active in serving Meals on Wheels. Virginia was the widow of Lewis C. Leonard.
Survivors include: sons – Terry Leonard and wife Susie, Garry Leonard and wife Beth, Jerry Leonard and wife Darlene
Grandchildren – Christy Wood and husband Steve, Cherie Leonard, Preston Leonard, Kim Phillips and husband Jonathan, Katina Leonard
Brother – Clifford "June" Clark
Several Nieces and Nephews
Funeral services will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, October 14, 2012 in Calvary Baptist Church, 1505 Broad St., Bristol, TN with Rev. Tony Trunnell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the church prior to the service and other times at the residence of Garry Leonard, 86 Abbie Lane, Bristol, TN 37620.
The Committal service will be on Monday at 11 am at the Glenwood Mausoleum.
Honorary Pallbearers include: Tom Webb, Lonnie Barrett, Eddie Whitson, Bob Long, Wayne Carr, Monte Ogle, Jim Tate, Mack Godsey, Steve Wood, Jonathan Phillps, and Preston Leonard.
