BOLING, OPAL L. -- BLUFF CITY --

Opal L. Boling, 89, formerly of Timber Ridge Road, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home in Elizabethton, Tenn. A native of Bluff City, she was a daughter of the late Will and Mae Miller Harmon. Mrs. Boling was a member of Brookside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lynn Harmon; and one granddaughter.

Survivors include her husband, R. Parks Boling of Elizabethton; five sons, Wilbor Cleatis Boling and Lester G. Boling, both of Piney Flats, Aaron Lynn Boling of Bluff City, Forrest Wayne Boling of Elizabethton and Robert Allen Boling of Salem, Va.; two sisters, Willeta Miracle and Arzella Malone, both of Bluff City; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home-Bluff City with Rev. Fred Potter, Rev. Sam Richards and Rev. Jerry Honeycutt officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City. Active pallbearers will be Timothy A. Boling, Jeff Boling, Rick Boling, Brian Boling, Gregg Boling and Allen Boling. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Malone, Randy Malone, James Akard, Carl Gross and Carl Sheffey.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family at bluffcity//Nfuneral-plans.com. Tetrick Funeral Home-Bluff City is in charge of the arrangements. BRISTOL HERALD COURIER OCT. 16, 2001
