Homer L. Walker, 87,of Soddy-Daisy, TN passed away Monday, April 12, 2010, at his home.

He was born on June 25, 2010 in Litton, Bledsoe Co, TN which is in Sequatchie Valley. His father farmed for Dr. W. H. Ault, after the doctor died they moved to Hamilton Coonty, TN, and then Cumberland, Bledsoe, Sequatchie, and Marion Countys.

He was a lifetime member of Dividing Ridge Church of God.

He was a member of the Laborers International Union of North America Local #846 for approximately 65 years while serving as a past President and an Assistant Business Agent and a Laborer Forman for TVA. He also worked for various contractors in the Chattanooga, TN area.

He loved sports and was an avid NASCAR fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Lizzie Marie Walker; brothers, James Lee, Eugene, and Howard Walker; sister, Naomi Atchley.

He is survived by his partner in life of 68 years, Laura B. "Pet" Walker; children, Wayne and wife, Alice Walker, Barbara and husband, Paul Flaherty, Ronnie "Runt" and wife, Bobbie Walker, and Sandra G. Walker; brothers, Russell and Wendell Walker; and sister-in-law, Arvin King; grandchildren, Steve Flaherty, Danny Flaherty, Jason Walker, Ronnie Walker Jr., Dawn Goggins and Lori Boyle; eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Kenneth Yates officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Dividing Ridge Church of God Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Donald Zeigler and Nurses Gail and Vicky of Guardian Home Care.

Arrangements are by Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN.

Laura B. “Pet” Walker, 92, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her home.

She was born on September 28, 1924 in the Dividing Ridge Community and was a lifetime member of the Dividing Ridge Church of God. Laura worked for Oster Manufacturing in Dayton, TN from 1967-1969. She loved gardening, flowers and old cars.

She was preceded in death by her partner in life of 68 years, Homer L. Walker; parents; Walter and Alice Ada Jones; sister, Arvin King; brothers, Walter Paul and Lloyd Allen Jones.

Survivors are her children, Wayne and wife, Alice Walker; Barbara and husband, Paul Flaherty, Ronnie “Runt” and wife, Bobbie Walker and Sandra G. Walker; grandchildren, Jason and wife, Sharon Walker, Steve and wife, Heather Flaherty, Danny Flaherty, Ronnie and wife, Michelle Walker, Lori and husband, Tim Boyle, Dawn Goggins and 9 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Larry L. Mangum officiating. Burial will follow at Dividing Ridge Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mark Heinshon, Dr. Hamilton and the nurses at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.
