The family would like to thank Drs. Kirk Wilcox and Eric Conn, who took such good care of Wendell for so many years; Dr. David Dodson who made it possible for the family to stay with him during his final days; and Dr. Bryan Johnson who helped with the transition to his Heavenly life.
Thanks are given to the nursing staff at Memorial Hixson – especially Cindy. Also, the family is so grateful for the nurses and CNAs in the oncology wing at the main campus – especially Mike and Ruth. Additionally, the family appreciates all the prayers, visits, calls, text messages, and offers of help they received from so many friends – the love and support were felt daily.
Finally a very special heart-felt thank you to the family’s special angel Ashley, his great-niece, for the late night visits in the MICU waiting room.  She was a ray of sunshine to some very dark days.
Wendell will be greatly missed, not only by his family, but by all his friends as well.  He loved life and enjoyed every day to its fullest. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com
