Harvey Dennis Yearwood, 75, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, died at his home Saturday morning, October 17, 2015.
Harvey was born in Sweetwater on Feb. 24, 1940, to the late Richard and Ersa (Watson) Yearwood; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (King) Yearwood; and his great-grandson, Brock Dennison Lord.
Harvey lived in Soddy Daisy for many years and retired as a truck driver. He enjoyed woodworking and he was a Christian.
He is survived by his children, Michelle (Rev. Mike) Palmer of Idaho, Barry (Debbie) Yearwood of Ringgold, GA, Lyle (Shawn Lowe) Yearwood of Chattanooga and Hope (Billy) Bowman of Graysville; his grandchildren, Brittney (Ellis) Lord of Chattanooga, Zeb (Joy) Palmer of Idaho and Michelle Bowman and Koti Bowman of Graysville, great-grandchildren, Matthew Lord, Clayton Lord, Ian Palmer and Jayda Anderson; his brothers, Joe (Margaret) Yearwood of Dayton, Gary (Darlene) Yearwood of Soddy Daisy; and his sister, Brenda (Bobby) Wilson of Evensville.
Funeral services for Harvey will be held Tuesday, Oct. 20 at noon in the funeral home chapel with his son-in-law, Pastor Mike Palmer officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Wilcoxen Cemetery in Soddy Daisy.
