Rita Faye Snyder, 61, of Soddy Daisy passed away in a local hospital on September 28, 2015. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was a genuinely nice person and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her late fiancé, Elmer Walker; her late husband, Tommy Snyder; parents Mr. and Mrs. Laymons; brother, Franklin Laymons; and sister, Roberta Laymons, all of Soddy Daisy.
She is survived by her step son-in-law, Paul Bennett; step daughter Tracy Myers Bennett; sons, William Snyder of Soddy Daisy, and J.T. Snyder of Georgia; sisters, Mildred Graham, and Ava Jane O’Daniels, both of Soddy Daisy.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Hunsucker officiating. Interment will follow in Union Fork Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 29, at the funeral home.
