Shawn August Snyder, 41, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020. He was of the Baptist faith and loved Jesus fully. Shawn was a brick mason by trade, one of the best. He loved cars, NASCAR and his dog, Layla but most of all his son, Thomas. His main focus was his family and kids. Shawn struggled in life with addiction and sobriety. He tried to live life to its fullest the last 3 years with a clean sober life. He was proud of his sobriety and so was everyone around him. Shawn tried to council and support other addicts in recovery. Shawn was preceded in death by his fathers, Robert and Thomas Snyder and his mother, Edith Johnson; son, Dominic Snyder and grandson, Stryker Blanks.
Survivors are son, Tommy Snyder and his mother, Nikki Smith; children by choice and heart, Megan Arnold, Gage Blanks, Brandon McCoin and Madison Kaiser; granddaughter, Allyssa Arnold; girlfriend, Heather Lee; siblings, Alicia Snyder Fowler, Danny (Ginger) Snyder, Ricky Snyder, J.T. Snyder, William Snyder, Jackie Snyder, Denise Snyder, Tammy Layne Angel Cooper and Rita; nieces and nephews, Sydney “Piggy” Pelfrey, Daniel Fowler, Colby Hale, Kayla Snyder, Katie Snyder, Hannah and Emma Kamees and extended family.
Services will be on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Union Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
