Herschel Lewis Woodward died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, in a local hospital.
He was 85. He was retired from Combustion Engineering after 27 years of service.
Mr. Woodward is preceded in death by his wife, Lola Woodward.
Survivors include a son, H.L. Woodward, Graysville, Tenn.; two daughters, Charlotte King, Chattanooga, and Pat Mangum, Red Bank; sister, Evelyn Davis, Hixson; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, Soddy-Daisy, with the Rev. Gene Varner officiating.
Burial will be in Union Fork Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
