*Obituary:

Anthony “Tony” Woodward, 51, passed away on February 21, 2019. Tony was employed at TVA as an electrician, was a member of IBEW Local 175 and then transferred to IBEW Local 721, and was of the Baptist faith. He loved dirt track racing and was owner of a dirt track racecar. He also loved playing with his niece and nephew and loved the TN Vols and NASCAR. 
Tony will always be remembered for his kind heart and the huge smile he always had on his face.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, R.V. “Cotton” and Jewell Woodward, Marjorie and Wendell Shipley, and Lillie Stanford; aunt, Shirley Dodd; and uncle, David Woodward.

Survivors include his parents, Roger and Joyce Woodward; sister, Nicole (Tommy) Cunningham; niece and nephew, Chloe and Corbyn Cunningham; grandfather, Clifford Stanford; uncles, Mike Woodward, Randy (Penny) Stanford, and Tony Blaylock; aunts, Doris (Philip) Arnold and Renee Blaylock; as well as several cousins and close friends.

Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on both Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tommy Cunningham, Randy Stanford, Dennis Harvey, Jason Arnold, Tony Blaylock, Matt Steward, Michael Lewis and Mitchell “Sluggo” Cate.
