Betty Lou Hawkins Higgins of Soddy-Daisy died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, in a local hospital. She was 57.
Mrs. Higgins was a member of Guiding Light Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Marie Hawkins; two brothers, Mack and Tony Hawkins; and two sisters, Arvazine Gilbert and Dorothy Hawkins.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Higgins; two daughters, Lisa Marie Brewer and Norma Shipley; two sons, Darrell and Stevie Higgins, all of Soddy-Daisy; sister, Joyce Ann Selvidge, Crossville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces; and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Fox and the Rev. Aaron Simmons officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
