Always in our hearts

Obit:
Patsy Jean Brownfield, 85 of Chattanooga, TN, entered Heavens gates on July 5, 2019. Patsy was born on July 28, 1933 to the late John and Eleanore (Miller) Reed in Adrian, MI where she was raised with five sisters and three brothers. In 1948 Patsy met the one and only absolute love of her life, Junior Glen Brownfield of Section, AL. They were married on March 22, 1950. Patsy and Junior raised eight wonderful children. In the late 70’s, Patsy and Junior moved their family to Chattanooga, TN where they continued raising their children. Patsy loved the Lord, she loved her church, and being a mother and raising her children. A loving mother and homemaker, Patsy was a remarkable cook and she enjoyed preparing meals for her family, friends and church, especially over the holidays. For many years, Patsy was an active member in her church where she loved fellowship, singing and always looking out and giving to those who needed it most.
Patsy enjoyed fashion, getting dressed up and matching her jewelry. Patsy always looked forward to her salon appointments; getting her hair just right and her nails the perfect color. Patsy was dedicated to the Lord and her family most of all.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eleanore Reed, her late loving husband, Junior Glen Brownfield, two daughters, Susie Brownfield and Rhonda Cochran, son, Dennis Brownfield, two brothers, Roger and John Reed, and two sisters, Mary English and Debbie Rohroback.

Patsy will be sadly missed by her children, Sharie (Larry) Crawley, Gregory Brownfield, Mark Steven Brownfield, Janeile Dockery, and Timothy Brownfield, all of Chattanooga. She is also survived by her siblings, Andrea (Norm) Retter and Deloris Reed both of Blissfield, MI, Risa Lester of Valley View, TX, and Thomas (Peggy) Reed of Adrian, MI. Patsy was a proud grandmother and aunt to many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great , great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank everyone who provided loving assistance and support with Patsy’s care in the last few years, especially Life Care of Collegedale and Amedysis Hospice. The family gives them their greatest and warmest gratitude.

Visitation is 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 12, 2019 with the Celebration of Life service following at 1:00 P.M. at the Chattanooga Community Church with Pastor Kelly Selby officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery
