Elberta Marie "Bert" Henderson died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999, at her home in Soddy-Daisy.
She was a lifetime member of New Salem Baptist Church, the Baptist Women's Association and the Order of the Eastern Star Mayflower Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon S. Henderson Sr. Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Bennett, Ooltewah; a son, Eldon Henderson Jr., Soddy-Daisy; brother, L.D. Frizzell, Hixson; two sisters, Loneda Higgins, Hixson, and Arvin Arnold, Harrison.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Painter officiating.
Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.
