Noah T. Wright, 66, of Sale Creek, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.
He was born in McMinn County on Nov. 16, 1934, the son of the late Herman R. and Clara Brown Wright.
Noah was a graduate of Sale Creek High School and earned his three-year machinist certificate. He retired in 1984 as a machinist at Eclipse-Lookout in Chattanooga. He was an avid fisherman, member of Unity Baptist Church in Sale Creek and was a master sergeant in the U.S. Army, where he served two years in Germany.
Noah is survived by his wife, Maudie Maye Wright of Sale Creek; daughter, Teresa Wright Janow of Dayton; two sons, John Oakley of Smyrna, Tenn., and Jason A. Wright of Sale Creek; two brothers, Esthel G. Wright and Olen Wright, both of Sale Creek; sister, Louise Adams of Catawba, S.C.
Funeral services for Mr. Wright will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Vanderwall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bernard Dodrill and the Rev. David Cunningham officiating.
Burial will follow in Patterson Cemetery in Sale Creek.
