Ed Ballard, 80, of Burlison, passed away on Friday, April 21. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 23 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Randolph Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Ballard was a retired machine operator with the Tipton County Public Works Dept. and a member of the Randolph United Methodist Church. He is survived by one son, Keith (Connie) Ballard of Covington; two daughters, Kim (Steve) Massengill and Kelly (Mark) Beasley, both of Burlison; one sister, Peggy Shankle of Covington and seven grandchildren, Rachel Forrest, Hannah Massengill, Jenny Baird, Annie Fain, Gracie Ballard, Jessica Beasley and Theron Beasley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ballard; his parents, Douglas and Willie Delancey Ballard and one sister, Becky Pace.
