Howard Robert Walker, 76, a lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy, died on Friday, May 20, 2005.
He was the son of the late George and Lizzie Marie Walker. He was of the Church of God faith. Howard was a member of Laborers’ Union Local 846. He enjoyed baseball and football, with the Atlanta Braves and UT Vols as his favorite teams.

He is survived by his children, Robert (Tammy) Walker, Chris Walker, Darryl (Becky) Burchard, Kathy Flerl, Glen Walker and Ricky Walker; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Wendell, Russell, Homer Walker and Casto Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Coulter Chapel, with the Rev. Melvin Walker officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Old Hotwater Road.

The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Coulter Chapel, 601 Ashland Terrace.
