They had a small store and farm and lived about 4 miles East of here near the Carroll – Henderson Co., line. John was paralyzed the last 9 years of his life. Both are buried here in unmarked graves in Barham family cem. They raised 10 children with 4 being blind – Janie, Sallie, Henry and Ella Mae were blind. Nancy, Clarinda, G-G-Grandfather James Ross, twins Wylie Edward Hudson and Mary and Daniel were not. James and Daniel fought in the Confederacy. In 1846, Clarinda wed Andrew Jackson Barham, a planter and Methodist minister. They had 10 children. She died in 1861 giving birth to twin daughters who lived.
