Betty Jo Reynolds Wilburn, 83, of Bakersville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Greystone Healthcare in Blountville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard J. and Edith Sarah Byrd Reynolds; and brother, Robert Reynolds. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church of Piney Flats, Tenn. She was a graduate of Tennessee High School and an alumni of Virginia Intermont College. She was employed by R.C. Boswell Insurance for 20 years and for Dr. Frank Sutterlin for 9 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Frank Wilburn; stepsister, Jean Burnette; cousins, Coleen Harris, and Jane Bellamy; and special friends, Linda Shortt, Jean Wyatt, Joan Lindamood, Jean Carrier, Martha Francis, and Sheila Widener. The family will receive friends 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013, at the Heritage Chapel of Memories in Glenwood Cemetery, Bristol, Tenn. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. with Dr. Allen Davis officiating. The committal and entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wellmont Hospice, 280 Steeles Road, Bristol, TN 37620. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed by visiting www.oakley-cook.com.
