September 10, 1924 - August 16, 2008
Madeline Sue Lambert Helbert, age 83, of Bristol, VA, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born September 10, 1924 in Bristol, TN, a daughter of the late Robert and Myrtle Hatcher Lambert Madeline was retired from Belk’s Department Store. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leonard Helbert and a son, Billy Lambert.
Survivors include:
Daughters: Linda Oliver and husband Jeff, Rita Helbert, Martha DePew and husband Harold
Sons: Danny Helbert and wife Linda, Beverly Helbert and wife Norma, Charles Helbert, Jimmy Helbert and Michael Helbert
Eleven Grandchildren, Several Great-Grandchildren
Sister: Patsy Singleton
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Cox officiating. The entombment will follow in Glenwood Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Gerald Helbert, Ronald Chatman, Eric Ables, Josh Helbert, Michael Helbert, Jr., Danny Trivett, Curtis Chatman and David Chatman. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Monday at the funeral home.
