Ola Mae Campbell, 82, of Bluff City, TN, went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2013, at Wellmont Hospice House following a brief illness.

She was born on March 11, 1930 in Middlesboro, KY, to the late Elijah Martin and Rossie Catherine Barnett.

She had been a resident of Sullivan County since 1952. Ola Mae was a charter member of Avoca Christian Church in Bristol, TN. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed taking care of her flowers and raising her own vegetables. She was dedicated to the care of her home and husband and was a loving sister and special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Riley Estel, Leon and Bobbie Lee Barnett, a sister, Mary Elvhina Kelly, and her special companion and loving pet, Cherie.

Ola Mae is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, James N. Campbell; sisters, Bernell Sorrells and husband Richard, Dola Hoskins and husband Phillip, and Luenette Smith and husband Preston; brothers, Delano Barnett and wife Velma, J.C. Barnett and wife Donna, and Theodore Barnett and wife Jennifer; godson, Greg McKenney; brothers-in-law, Curt Campbell and Glen Kelly; sisters-in-law, Ruth Campbell, Charlene Asbury and Wanda Barnett; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Bob Robinson and Mr. Preston Smith officiating.

The committal service and entombment will follow in the Heritage Chapel of Memories at Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marty Hoskins, Jeremy Smith, Jamy Smith, Jeff Simpson, Austin Simpson, and Dan Retherford.

Honorary pallbearers are the doctors and staff of Bristol Regional Hospital and Wellmont Hospice House whom the family thanks for their wonderful care and thoughtfulness during her illness.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be sent to Avoca Christian Church, 2417 Volunteer Parkway, Bristol, TN, 37620.
