Joseph B. Denton, age 90, of Bristol, TN passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born March 19, 1920, a son to the late Dave Denton and Nancy Peoples Denton. He was a life long resident of Sullivan County. Mr. Denton was a member of Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Zelma Montgomery Denton.

Survivors:
Sons: Kenneth Denton and wife Nancy, Michael (Mickey) Denton and wife Pam, Todd Denton and wife Carla
Daughter: Robin Sutherland and husband Ron
Grandchildren: Wesley and wife Miranda, Matt, Sarah, Julia, Phillip, William
Brother: Jack Denton

Sisters: Marsha Ringley, Mamie Lowe

Funeral services will be conducted on at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Weaver Funeral Home with Brother Joe Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 prior to the funeral service. Entombment will be in Glenwood Cemetery on Thursday at 11:00 am. Pallbearers will be Wes Denton, Matt Denton, Phillip Denton, William Denton, Ellis Nash, Bob Davidson, J.J. McCoy, and Harland Bernard. Honorary pallbearer will be Vernon Teer. Military honors will be presented by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard. Online condolences may be registered at www. Weavefuneralhome.net.
