Eula "Petie" Ratcliff, 74, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at the Wellmont Hospice House. In addition to her parents, William Earl Bishop and Eva Tester Bishop, she is preceded in death by her husband, Britton Ratcliff Jr.; daughter-in-law, Robin Owens Ratcliff; and sister, Debbie Sakaniwa. Petie loved her family and her friends. She also loved Bluegrass music and the Tennessee Vols. Her motto was love each other and yell "GO VOLS". Petie is survived by daughter, Suzy Ratcliff Bentley and husband, Bill; son, John Ratcliff and wife, Robin N.; daughter, Kerri Ratcliff Lyons; son, Britt Ratcliff III and wife, Paula; two brothers, Frank Bishop and Earl Bishop; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 1 until 1:45 pm in the Heritage Chapel of Memories at Glenwood Cemetery. The service will follow 2 p.m. with Mitchell Ratcliff officiating with music provided by Duty Free. The committal and inurnment will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that prepared meals be sent in support of families with loved ones that are in hospice care.
