Clifford J. Carr, age 79, of Bristol, TN passed away on April 27, 2004 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born in Abingdon, VA a son to the late Robert and Lilly Shell Carr. He had spent most of his life in the Bristol area and worked as a Painting Contractor. Mr. Carr was a member of Fellowship Chapel where he served as a Sunday School teacher, a Deacon and a member of the choir. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II where he earned a Bronze Star, a Purple Heart and several other medals. Mr. Carr was also a member of the Woodmen of the World and the VFW. He was preceded in death by his wife Victoria Clark Carr.

Survivors include: Daughter - Shirley Ogle and husband Monte of Bristol, TN

Son - Clifford Wayne Carr and wife Terri of Bristol, TN

Grandchildren - Steven Ogle, Brian Ogle, Nicole Carr, and Adam Carr

Funeral services will be held on Friday April 30, 2004 at 8 pm in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lester MacKinnon and Rev. Scott Price officiating. Committal services will be on Saturday at 11 am in the Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel. Military honors will be presented by the Highlands Fellowship Honor Color Guard. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-7:45 pm prior to the service.
